Curt Jasper and Leo Lusky organized the tournament held on July 11, 2018. More than 100 thank you cards were mailed to sponsors and players. Leo Lusky introduced guest speaker, Carla Rose. She, received a warm welcome, addressing attendees of the award banquet. An Air Force veteran, she has been a DAV Service Officer since November 2, 2015. The Wall that Heals, a Minnesota Remembers Vietnam initiative, still needs volunteers on Sunday, June 24, at 3:00 PM to take down and load the ¾ scale replica and get it on the way to the next event. Last year EXCEL ENERGY was the FIVE STAR Sponsor of Chapter 39’s Annual Golf Tournament. The event raises funds for Veterans throughout the Chapter’s five-county area. Check back for details on the 2018 tournament and learn about how funds will support area veterans.

“Congratulations to our elected Chapter officers,” shared Paul Kampa, re-elected DAV Anoka Minnesota Chapter 39’s post commander. Commander Paul Kampa; Senior Vice Loyd Brandvold; 1st Junior Vice William Gordon; Chaplin Rober Bormes; Treasurer Michael Stenquist; and Judge Advocate Paul Sharp were led in the oath of office at the February 8, 2018 Chapter meeting.
