Volunteers from MN DAV Chapter 39 came out to The Farmstead Assisted Living on a cold October afternoon to present special blankets to veterans. The blankets are printed with the following verse from Psalm 91: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty… He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
Steve Guider shared the status of Veterans Memorial Park of Blaine (Minnesota) at MN DAV Chapter 39’s October meeting. Steve shared, “The Mission of the Memorial Park is to pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of our nation’s service members, veterans and their families. To honor their bravery, courage and sacrifice, and to educate about the cost of freedom so that time will not dim the glory of their deeds.” The Veterans Memorial Park of Blaine committee is a 501c3 organization with the mission to pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of our nation’s service members, veterans and their families. WE NEED YOU at our MN DAV Chapter 39 meeting Oct. 10, 2019 at 6:30 PM at the VFW, 1919 Coon Rapids Blvd., Coon Rapids, MN 55433. We are in need of NEW VOLUNTEERS to take over one of our biggest fund raisers, “The Annual MN DAV Chapter 39 Golf Tournament.” We’re also in need of volunteers for the December Unit Bake Sale, and other events supporting our local Veterans.
